Advanced Sit, Stay, and Down
Your dog should not only sit and stay but also be able to hold these positions for extended periods, even when distractions are present. Work on increasing the duration and distance between you and your dog when giving these commands.
Increasing Duration: Start by having your dog hold a sit or down for just a few seconds, then gradually increase the duration. Add some distractions to the mix and see how your dog handles them. Distance and Distractions: Practice sending your dog to a specific spot, having them sit or lie down from a distance. Introduce distractions, such as other people or animals, and gradually increase the difficulty level.
